How tough is it to get onto a table during hte tournament for a cash game? (I'm also bringing newer players who will try and get on the lower limit games (ie 3/6), how bad are the waiting lists?

I'm supposed to leave in 11 hours with 3 buddies and my car is totally dismantled...no fenders, broken motor mount, no oil or coolant...not to mention I haven't packed yet and I have no clean clothes. Dammit! Gotta get to bed so i can wake up early and try to get it back together before we gotta leave.

I'm gonna be at TS from tomorrow (Friday) evening through wednesday and will hopefully be playing some of the smaller events as well as 2-5nl and probably some 1/2 and 10-20 or 15-30

I will get there August 15th or 16th and may stay for a night or up to a week depending on my results.

I'm asian, will most likely be playing 4/8 and wearing a beige fedora if hats are allowed. Look for me.

By underage, I hope you mean under 18... cuz I'm 18 and I plan on playing multiple tourneys.

they don't spread 4/8. they prefer the 5/10 structure (which is thought to kill action by using one chip for bets) to the 4/8 or 6/12... so 3/6 or 5/10 it is

But they probably don't allow pink chips to play in poker, so buy in for five racks of white instead.

Anyway, in my brief experience in that game it didn't seem to matter; I was getting beat by 32s and 54o anyway.

I've actually tried to use a pink chip in a NLHE game at Turning Stone. A bunch of nits protested, but I pointed out that it is a valid casino chip and the dealer ended up allowing it.

Of course, this chip would only come into play in either a heads-up pot (where it would be given as change to the other player after he calls my bet), or in an all-in situation.

If I remember correctly, I shoved it all-in and then ended up getting it back because I lost the pot but had the other player covered.
