Re: A player who acts instantly every time - suspicious?
[ QUOTE ]
"irregardless" isn't a word. and wouldn't it be better for you to try to figure out what the bot is doing and then use that to your advantage? sit to his left and min raise his blinds. most bots will fold. [/ QUOTE ] Irrespective of your failure to capitalize, you have a point. Regardless of the circumstance, nothing makes friends faster than a quick grammar lesson. Re: A player who acts instantly every time - suspicious?
You know, I have to feel a certain degree of affection for any word whose dictionary entry describes its main claim to fame as being arguments over whether it is legitimate or not. Poor bastard word, slipped into the language by unthinking americans picking up on the unconscious rhythm of the english language without bothering to consult the OED first. Irregardless! In fact i think i'm going to be taking every opportunity from now on to slip it into the written language.
Forget s'up bro. Let's make irregardless the new rallying call for 2+2! |

Re: A player who acts instantly every time - suspicious?
Usage Note: Irregardless is a word that many mistakenly believe to be correct usage in formal style, when in fact it is used chiefly in nonstandard speech or casual writing. Coined in the United States in the early 20th century, it has met with a blizzard of condemnation for being an improper yoking of irrespective and regardless and for the logical absurdity of combining the negative ir- prefix and -less suffix in a single term. Although one might reasonably argue that it is no different from words with redundant affixes like debone and unravel, it has been considered a blunder for decades and will probably continue to be so.
