Default A Question on rec.gambling.poker

Harry026 posted the following question to rec.gambling.poker

>Suppose you decide to make a list of all 1326 starting hands. Starting with your next hand, you intend to mark a hand as "gotten" whenever it is dealt to you. What is the number of hands that you must be dealt for the probability to be at least 50% that all 1326 hands on your list have been marked "gotten"?

Brian Alspach got the exact solution using advanced mathematics.

David Sklansky gave a nearly exact approximate solution that was correct if you rounded off to the nearest integer.

Any comments?
