Default Running Bad pt 2!

Well, I'm still running bad I think! Maybe still playing bad. After putting up some hands yesterday I concentrated on not overplaying hands while still trying to get value.

So, I've been playing some 1-2 bonus hunting on PokerRoom, and here are a few hands that I would like comments on! This time, there were only a couple hands where I lost 5+ BB so I'm posting those and a few others. (This session was a small win).

There looks to be a theme throughout all these hands. I pay off a lot on the river. Too much?

I think all of these are nice hands.

The only one I might fold on the river is the last one.

It also depends on the opponent. The #1 note I take on players is are they capable of bluffing the turn or river. If the opponent is normally a loose PASSIVE no aggression without the nuts postflop fish, then I might laydown on all of these, but against TAG tricky players I pay them off.

I do not see any misplays in those hands. Just bad luck.

Agree that you are playing ok and just getting unlucky. Maybe folding the last two would be ok, if you knew the villian and felt he wouldn't bluff much.

You are playing these hands as well as you can they are all pretty strait forward. You didn't make the mistake of slow playing them in small stakes game. None of your opponents really played terrible either they had an open ended strait or a flush draw on the flop there is no way they are leaving before the river.

Cheers

1/2 belongs on the micros. No biggie.

Hand 1: Preflop is on the low end of good; at a higher limit, I'd probably fold T9s here even with a limper + poster ahead of me. On 1/2 that's usually a good limp. Postflop it looks good, although I'd be very wary of paying off after the PFR raises the river on a 4-straight, 3-flush board. The pot is big enough to call here & hope he's just an idiot, though.

Hand 2: Again, on a higher limit I'd raise 88 second in from MP1. It's a little more iffy on 1/2 where people are still likely to call your raise with overcards. Postflop looks very good--I really like the flop c/r.

Hand 3: Well played on every street.

Hand 4: I'd fold to the river raise unless I had a read on UTG+2 as a bluff-happy dolt. The pot ain't big, and whether he's raising with the flush or a Q you aren't winning.

Don't post results with your histories--it'll skew the commentary. I didn't look at the results before replying.

I might fold the river in hands 3 and 4, but I might also call them. Depends on reads and how well I'm playing. I don't see any glaring errors in your play, sometimes you just run cold for a long time.

Keep posting hands, preferably without the results. Try not to post more than 1 hand at a time, no one wants to go through that many hands and comment on them all at once. Focus on the specific streets you're unsure about and only post the hand up until your action on that street. It'll be more interesting that way for everyone, you'll get better responses.
