Default Limit Tourney Ruling Question

Full table at a limit HE tournament. Blinds are 25-50. 3 players to the flop. First goes all-in for 25, second calls 25, third wants to raise the maximum amount.

What is the max amount Player 3 can put in the pot? Limit tourney remember.

For starters, the 'second player' should've had to 'call' the BB, which is 50. So when the third player raised, he should've been able to put in 100 (50+ raise of 50).

Right?

My understanding of it is that any AI bet <1/2 the required bet does not "count" as a bet. If less than 1/2 the regular bet, all our hero could do is complete the bet (in this example if the AI was 24, he could complete to 50). But if > or equal to 1/2 the regular bet, a player can raise a full bet. (in this case, raise 50 to 75). At least, this is my understanding based on the B&M casinos that I play at.

CSC, but with that rule, for 1/2 a bet, I believe it is in regards to repopen the betting. If someone hadn't yet acted, they should have a right to raise the BB, regardless if someone went all-in in front of them for 1/2 a BB.

ex.: SB posts 25 BB posts 50 UTG All-in for 25. UTG+1 needs to call 50 not 25, MP s/b able to raise 100 to go. He hadn't yet acted.

Believe with the rule you are describing:

SB posts 25, BB posts 50 UTG raises to 100, Button Calls, SB all-in for 110; BB could raise to 150 (he hadn't acted yet) but if he calls, UTG & button can only call as the all-in for 10 more did not reopen the betting.

I could be wrong....
