Did anyone ever play Global War on a BBS?

[/ QUOTE ]

No, but I ruled 216 in Trade Wars. Yankee Trader and LORD were good, too.

LORD was nice because it was simple and you could do your daily turns easily. Trade Wars was still the best BBS game by far though. I miss that game.

And I want in too on some online Risk. League or just tonight, whatever...

Then you'll be happy to know that it's still alive and well.

Trade Wars 2002

Scott

edit: And I'd be more than happy to chip in for the software if enough OOTers are willing to play.

Wasnt TradeWars 2002 the BBS version? Were you guys hardcore about that game? I remember the good old days on a 2400 modem running trade/steal scripts in TradeWars to steal + sell Equipment at trading posts over and over and stuff or running scripts to move people from Sector 1's planet to populate my own planet. Those were the good old days.

Anyway, I dont think people are that interested nowadays in playing text-only games...

Oh wow really? Hmmm... I dont want to pay to play. I noticed there are a bunch of servers running TW 2002 HERE that you can telnet to.

I think Ill check them out later and see how the games are progressing. It sucks bad to have a late start in that game. Let me know if you start out in any of these servers so I can join in.

This definitely sounds better than starting our own server.
