Live game, did I over play AA2T?

I am the button in a 2/5 plo8 live game w/ Ad Ah 2c Td. There are 10 players, 6 have called and I pot for $37, my stack is $490. SB fold, BB fold, UTG re pots, all others fold to me. UTG is deep stacked and reckless I know I am ahead here so I want to get my chips in, I repot and he calls.
Flop is Ac Jh 5d....I pot (i am all in now), he calls...turn is 9s, river is 6 bringing the low.

He turns over A489 disconnected junk and we split. Did I over play this hand?

where do they spread live PLO/8? Is this a home game?

Why didn’t you get all your chips in pre-flop? If he’s reckless (and what he showed down confirms it) you’re going to be a significant favorite against his range of hands. You are also out of position and the pot is already large. Push pre-flop is the best line in MHO.

No, this is a fine hand to get all the chips in with heads up (which you essentially did by getting fully committed PF).

I have played in a couple in Tunica, but it is usaully a sharky game.
