villan raises to $70.
hero calls with JJ
3 other callers
flop:
QQ8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

villan bets 70
hero calls
2 other callers

turn:
J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
villan bets 70
hero raises $300
2 folds, villan goes all-in for $290 more...

Well obviously you call, and out of the 3 hands villan probably has, he only has quads here 10% of time or less, so insta call. I think you see AK diamonds or something like it 60% of the time, and the rest you see pocket eights. I think yuo played it fine, althought maybe raising the flop is better than letting everyone else in cheap? But i guess if they call 70, they call 210 with flush draw, and fold the 99 TT hands they might call with. Hope he proudly showed you 88 then you can laugh and point out the 1-22 chance you hit.

Pretty big raise PF if hes first in. Anyway, I prob dont call on flop with that many people in and people behind me.

When you hit boat, obviously you're in regardles. If he has quads, oh well.

He turned over QJ and I didnt say anything besides "nh". Someone tell me he's horrible for raising this in EP. He should have had AQ, right!?

Or are you horrible for not noticing his preflop raising standards?

Fold flop.

Once you get to the turn you have to get all-in.

The 70 dollar flop raise seems suspicious. I'd probably lay it down there.

But once the turn hits, I think it's very hard to get away from your hand....
