Taken hostage

So I am sitting at home today playing Halo and my sister calls me and tells me to turn on the news...my mom's bank had been robbed and she was taken hostage along with several others. Here is the link to the story. For those of you in KS and the KC area, you probably heard about this. If you saw the videos of the van driving away, my mom is the one that was driving. Two windows were shot out of the minivan. Then, when they got to the airport, the robber tried to take her with him onto the plane when the cops put three rounds in him.

This is the kind of [censored] that only happens in movies. For a small town country boy this has been quite an experience. Boy what a day.

I saw this on CNN. If this really was your mother than I am happy to hear that she is OK. I am also glad that they shot the SOB that took her hostage.

How is your mom holding up? This type of thing could obviously traumatize someone for life, I wish her all the best.

I saw that on the news this morning. Took about 30 minutes for me to actually find out where the [censored] the bank was to make sure I could actually drive from my house to Arby's without running into police roadblocks. =/

my mom had an ishy teller job and it's DEFINITELY nothing to have your life in danger over.....what a damn shame.
