Gold Strike, $35 a night for a weekend hotel room

[/ QUOTE ]

Checking their website, the reservation for Saturday night would be $99. Who do I have to sleep with to get the room for $35?

you have to call the poker-room in advance to get the poker-room rate.

it requires 5 hours of play per night. not sure if you need to already have a gold-strike 'one-club' card or not.

The rooms are only $25/night during the week.

poker-room rate rooms are based on availability of course.

the rooms are pretty nice.
that's how me and the GF take quick little vacations down there even though it's less than an hour away.
she goes to the workout-room or the pool...I put in my 5 hours in the poker-room. then we have the rest of the day to do whatever....and it's only $25/night.

Since the rooms are usually $65 or so during the week I look at it like they are paying me $8/hr to play in a game with a bunch of players who seem very interested in giving me even more money.

Still....I prefer the horseshoe room.

then starts thinking "what the hell does my friend know about what good starting hands are. Pokar is easy." This is what keeps the fish hanging on the way they do.

Do you work for the chamber of commerce or something? They should seriously consider paying you.

or

"Tunica - Conveniently located pawn-shops just 10 minutes up the road!!"

(neglected to mention that old-town Tunica to the south of the casinos is supposed to be kind of cute and quaint. some would call it boring and small though).

I once drove through the town of Tunica with the power out. There was no lights and it was dark. I did not even realize that the power was out.

/Weak attempt at humor.
