How about some serious accessment of his play. Frankly I wonder if he really thought he could win it, and was just throwing money in to see what would happen. Of course you can do this more in pot-limit then in no-limit.

When my crew was shooting the ESOP for the Player's Network, we got to know Brian real well - great guy. Completely confident in his ability but also completely cognizant of how lucky he had to get to win his braclet.

One late afternoon, we were interviewing him and he had a lot to say....but I had to break to give my crew dinner. Brian said, "hell, I just won $300,000 - I'll buy you and your crew dinner."

And he did. All 8 of us. A real, stand-up guy.

He was quoted as saying he no longer plays on the internet because it screws up his live play. Thought that was interesting.
