Default Nice stupid question, the last hand in Rounders...

We never get to see what KGB was "holding" against the straight. Based on the board and how he bet it what do you figure he had? Trips? Maybe A/K?

I don't know, but he made a clear strategical error. If he thought Mike missed, he should have checked and allowed him to bluff at the pot. I guess Teddy didn't read TOP.

I've seen people post that they slowed down the DVD and it looks like tens he throws down, making him a set, but no definitive answer as given.,

Who says he has to have anything? If he's sure that Mike missed his straight, he doesn't need anything to make the bet, because Mike can't call it with only four cards to a straight and nothing else. He could have had simply King high.

I always thought it would be have been appropriate for the hand to mimic the Seidel/Chan hand from earlier in the show (final hand of WSOP 1988 i think). Chan flops the nut straight and has the patience to wait him out, just as Mike did. Cinematically it makes sense since movie-makers like to drop little things like that in movies.

I have the DVD and slowed it down frame by frame and you can see that he has pocket 10's. He flopped top set. I was actually surprised they shot the movie with the actual 10's down. For all we knew, the hole cards could have been jokers or blank cards, but I guess the director wanted to use the actual cards in case they got tabled or shown somehow (they are barely decipherable even when you slow it down, but you can tell it's pocket 10's...unless it's T9o or something like that)
