Nice, something else to read at work. The dinks at my job block all gambling sites and consider this gambling, so I am stuck w/ Jackpot Jay on ESPN. Good stuff

Hey Bob, do you keep a running TOTAL. Someone used to post it with there Blog all the time. This might be interesting as well.

Seriously, I think blogs are good to write to help clear your thoughts (kind of like a journal). I know I'll be reading yours closely since we both seem to be around the same boat (you've been doing it a bit longer and are a bit older)

I just started a bookmark folder for 2+2 poster poker blogs.

I have 3 so far:

MicroBob
TheMetetron
JasonHoldem

Would anyone like to recommend a few more?

The running total is something I'm debating.

I mentioned it to my Dad and while he doesn't understand the poker very much he did find it an interesting read...and he likes discussing my sports-bets and ideas as well.

not sure if my mom may or may not want to drop by occasionally or not. It will probably make zero sense to her.

My Dad understands the variance involved...not sure if my Mom would eveer drop-by or not but she would have some a freaking heart-attack if she knew what a loss of 200+BB at 15/30 really meant.

Regarding the other post about 'instructing' players how much money they can make.
I think steam-boatin pretty much hit it. Most wanna-be pro's would end up being more beneficial to the cause than harmful.

Frankly, I don't think I'm saying anything too spectacularly new that isn't already out there...I'm just saying a lot more of it and from my own perspective.

come to think of it....maybe the running-total idea would keep some potentially solid pro's-to-be away. Talking about losing $6k plus in a few days can be a real stomach-churner for many I suspect.
but I still would worry about the impression left on non-poker friends and relatives who may drop by who would immediately want to get me enrolled in G.A.

thanks for the initial support guys.

Yeah, be sure to post a lot of that
And if the totals are way plus perhaps tone it down or leave it out completely? Or focus more generally on your emotions when playing or specific hands and loss on earnings?
I may be paranoid but rings spread rings that spread rings. I fear the day when this will no longer be as profitable.
