Default 3-6 sh bankroll?

What is the recommended minimum bankroll if I want to play 3 tables of 3-6?

300bb min but 500bb is definitely optimal for 6m.

$1800-$6000. depends on you comfort level. It's easier to take a downswing and stay at your limit if you have plenty of back up. If you are willing to move down if you hit a bad patch, you can have less. It also depends on whether you need the money from poker to support yourself.

This is key. If you have no other income, you have to play risk-averse. Go with a larger bank if that's the case. Like $4000 for 3/6.

Yep I got about 4700 for 3/6 and I'd still rather have more.

Can anybody point me to good old threads about bankroll requirements for full vs. sh and/or how multitabling effects bankroll calculations?

Or new insights?

Thanks

Depends how you define bankroll. I started playing 5/10 a few months ago w/500bbs. I found the swings to be nauseating b/c I couldn't afford to lose my roll w/out having to put in serious time to rebuild. As a side effect, I never really felt comfortable @ 5/10 b/c as soon as I lost 1k I'd start to play too tight. My next plan is to put together a separate 250 BB roll that I'm willing to lose and not care.

In the end, a proper bankroll is only as much as you feel comfortable with. If you have a steady job and are willing to add money to your roll if you hit a rough stretch and your play won't start to deteriorate after you lose 100 BBs (very easily done @ SH), then you can play w/as little as 250 BBs. If you cannot afford to just replenish your roll and you have a tougher time handling 100BB downswings then you should be more conservative and have 500+BBs

Well obviously you need a big roll if you multi table because you need about 200BB just to play. You can't really do bankroll calculations without a track record at a different limit. You can do simulations however. There are two excel documents you can download in the recourses section of Raketracker. Here’s the link: https://raketracker.com/site/main/resources.php It's the sixth item down.
