Default JJ blind battle.

TAG opponent and I have been going at it a bit. He seems good. BishopAxe if anyone is wondering. Something like 25/17/2 over a limited sample size. There's certainly a lack of trust between us.

I think this is fine. You definitely want to get a raise in somwhere. A lot of times I like to raise the flop as calling down a 3 bet is cheaper and he's more likely to call me down. This is a fabulous turn to raise because it'll make him call you down with big aces, pairs lower than jacks, and it's also less likely he has a queen. He might 3bet with a worse hand as well, in which case I call down.

EDIT: This is not a spot to wait till river to raise b/c big aces are a big part of his range and will usually be check/calling or check/folding.

that is the 2nd best turn card and i think it's a very good card to raise since you likely won't get 3bet (unless he has a Q)

NH. He's supposed to have 88-TT here.

I don't know if it's right, but I usually raise the flop most of the time here.

I also like the way you played it, though - which begs the question: why are you posting this hand ? Suckout?

What's your plan if he 3-bets turn or checkraises the river? Both folds?

A thinking villian "knows" that you don't have a queen when you raise the turn (which leads to lots of other scenarios). I like it since tons of worse hands will payoff knowing that you are FOS. I guess the main concern would be getting 3-bet here. A really good player should be able to pull the trigger with much less then JJ. What's the plan if a 3-bet comes?
