Default so you have a thin pair of eights

15/30

Decent player opens MP nothing too fancy likes to checkraise the turn a whole lot but has a pattern to that. Terrible player cold calls next , and I cold call with 8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. The rest of the field folds.

7 2/3bets

Flop is 6s 5s 3s

Openner bets, bad player folds, and I call looking to raise any safe card on the turn.

4 2/3 BB
Turn 7c

Openner checks, I bet, he calls.

River 6c

Opener checks. Thin bet here?

I'm not sure it's that thin.

it depends if you think you will get called with ace-high. if not, check behind. What hands could he have hear that you actually bet. most like hand is either A/K (with a flush card) or a TT/JJ. If he will fold ace high you should check

Yes! No 99, TT or JJ would let As draw free on the turn and with that board he could very well put you on a move on the pot and call with AQ/AK.

It's not thin. Bet. You'll be called down by ace high, which is exactly what he has. An overpair would almost always bet the turn, and if not, generally would check-raise.

Good luck.

Bet and hope ace high calls.
