Default Big time decision on river

Hey guys. I mostly play tourneys and SNGs, so I'm not sure what to do with this one. Feedback on any and all streets appreciated, but mostly interested in the river decision. This is kind of like a deep-stack tourney decision, no?

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $2 BB (7 handed) converter

Hero ($295.35)
MP2 ($48.95)
CO ($332.15)
Button ($267.55)
SB ($170.80)
BB ($361.65)
UTG ($14.85)

Preflop: Hero is MP1 with Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
UTG calls $2, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $8</font>, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, CO calls $8, <font color="#666666">3 folds</font>, UTG calls $6.

Flop: ($27) T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font>
UTG checks, <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $12</font>, CO calls $12, UTG folds.

Turn: ($51) 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
Hero checks, <font color="#CC3333">CO bets $16</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $40</font>, CO calls $24.

River: ($131) J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $30</font>, <font color="#CC3333">CO raises to $272.15</font>, Hero?

rivers a fold, not too close.

bet 20 on the flop

just call the turn, or bet. i dont like checkraising here, it creates a hard to play river.

By the way, villain was at the table before I got there, and I was there for 45 min. or so before this hand developed. During that time he didn't do anything maniacal. My image is relatively solid, but I played a lot of hands.

I don't like the turn c/r. Bloats the pot OOP, and as stated before, makes the river harder to play.

I usually bet/call the turn, then check/call the river (moderate bet).

Does anyone else think the size of the river bet is horrible? Don't you have to bet 1/3-1/2 pot in this position?.

How is this line
Pot flop
Half pot turn

I think half potting the turn would allow you to fold to a raise no?

I would bet more on flop, probebly lead again on turn, river is a fold
