I know it's probably a bit late for this, but...

Why Jester's Cap on all of them? Don't you feel just a little dirty inside for altering Dan Frazier's work?

Maybe Moxen instead? Medallions?

Anyway... denoms? If these look as good as I think they will, would you consider giving me the images so I can do something similar with a set I'm putting together?

Default Jester chip mock ups

Those are great! Nice work on the color matching.

Do any mock ups with Denoms?

Maybe Dan Fraizer or whoever would be flattered. As long as he's not selling the labels... who cares?

Great post ky - tangents & all,
Fins

based on this picture alone, I have ordered a trial packet of chips (one of which has the nexgen chip in it) and if I like/can get used to them, I will order them to replace my lameass 11.5 gram suited that I use at my desk for internet tourneys and then design a wonderful label to put on them, like a shot of whiskey - -

I am impressed beyond words for what you didn for 150 bucks....congrats... very cool.

Dan Frazier would certainly not be flattered at all about this, hed probably sue! j/k nice design none the less. i dont think copyright infringement matters when you are just doing things for yourself. but if you were to sell these then its an entirely different story.

This thread has inspired me to get some Nexgen chips and get some custom labels myself. I can finally retire my 8 year old set of diamond chips. I got a set of 400 Nexgen chips from 5stardeal.com, a 400 piece aluminum case, a set-up of Copag cards and shipping for a total of $118.

I just need to think of a design for my labels now. I'll post some of my designs once I come up with something.

I do like the purple, but wasn't sure until I had one. Note that I think the color on the 5star site is closer to real life than mine above. In my picture it's a lot more purple-y than in person. Actually, now that I look, I think the 5star photos are the closest color samples in comparison to our pictures.

I was concerned also that it could be too close to the black when playing, but the two are distinctive enough.

As an aside, when I played in the UB tournament in Aruba, the black and purple chips (100/500) were really hard to tell apart and to make matters worse, the demonination was only on one side of the chip. And if I remember correctly, there weren't edge spots either.

You really had to keep track of the pot in your head because it was too hard to "count" it when there was a mix of black and purple. I noticed a lot of people, myself included, taking the time to stack with the denoms facing up to avoid confusion.

Please take a look at my concept for my chips. What do you think? Any comments or suggestions are welcome.

whynot use yellow for 1000 - I could understand you not wanting to use purple for 500 (being so close to black) but where I play, purple is 500 and yellow is 1000 -

otherwise not bad...

I'm not a fan of the yellow. It seems too dirty to me.
