I was villain with AK here I'd have very little trouble reading your hand and would put in a raise.

[/ QUOTE ]

I hate this raise. You think he's calling with worse, here?

I'm pretty sure hero intends to fold to a raise here.

[ QUOTE ]
If I had gotten to the river with some hand that I didn't think had either AQ or AJ beat, I might just move in on you expecting you to fold

[/ QUOTE ]

This raise, I do like.

What about a min-raise? That's what I'd do with AK here against a standard opponent. Villain would have to be making a very tricky move to have AK beat and make such a small bet.

I'd expect 95% of opponents to either bet more or c/r if they can beat AK.

Min-raise leaves us with ~$200 behind, and we have to throw up if raised.

that was my thinking, that I didnt want to pay more than 175.

I didnt think he was capable of bluffraising here. Against a tougher opponent I wouldve checked or bet more.

We don't have to throw up at all. We just fold. It's not hard. AK no good.

You're a better man than me folding getting > 7:1 there.

The amount of value you get out of this raise seems way too slim to me, as you are essentially only ahead of AQ and AJ here, and I can't see them calling very often.

You give up way more by letting AQ and AJ that easy on the river than you do by incorrectly re-opening the action that one time out of twenty that a guy c/c, c/c, 1/4 pot bets the river and pushes to your min-raise with a hand BETTER or WORSE than AK.

Don't you think villian's line is pretty weak here?

You don't think somebody ever tries to induce a bluff with a weak river bet, here?
