Don't go to the Taj.

Play at the Borgata.

Dont go to either, play at the Trop.

Seriously though, the Taj is notoriously tight. You may get a loose table, but there are more bad players at the Borg and the Trop.

The chips are covered in filth, the 5/10 limit games were insanely tight, the poker room is horribly disorganized, and the waittresses are not even remotely hot. The beer is flat and served in plastic cups, not bottles as at Borgata. On all counts, the Borgata is better. The few upsides of the Taj room are: shorter wait lists, Omaha Hi/Lo games (SOFT!), and smelly carpet.

If you play 20-40, the action is (IMHO) SIGNIFICANTLY better than Borgata. 40-80 at Borg is a good game however, as is 10-20. You will be seated immediately at Taj (or w/ minimal wait) even on Sat. night...OTOH, Borg will often have hours long waits. Yes, Borg is nicer...but as of now (maybe after the expansion, things will change), I take Taj EVERY time. I play poker for the action, not to look at pretty girls and flat panel tvs (though these are nice side items).

So in sum...go to Taj unless you can get there butt early so you don't have to wait. Go to Taj if you want 15-30, 20-40. Go to Borg if you want the frills (though I agree, if you play 5-10...the action is better at Borg 6-12).

The guy isn't asking about mid limit games.

I think you substantially underestimate the Borgata 20 game, though.

Yea I didn't read the post carefully...thought it was a general Taj inquiry. But...while the Borg 20 is very good, I think the Taj game has MUCH more action (esp. lately). Depends if you like passive or aggressive. I also think the floor manages things better at Taj, but that's just MHO.
