There is a player on Party PLO 25 that uses these tactics without fail.

I have played against him 3 times and he has always left the table a winner

Is this something that will work in the long run?

Yes! Get his chat banned. I think I know who you speak of. He's actually a decent player behind the talk but god does he like to remind people about it.
