Foxwoods this weekend?
Was thinking of going down this weekend, anybody know what sort of effect the WPF main event will have on ring games? Is it held in a completely separate area, or will most of the main room tables be taken up during the early rounds?

what was running today...
This is by memory so forgive me if I mess anything up:
2 tables of 50/100 holdem 6 tables of 20/40 holdem 4 tables of 10/20 holdem 3 tables of 5/10 holdem 4 tables of 20/40 stud 3 tables of 10/20 stud 2 tables of 5/10 stud 3 tables of 10/25 NL holdem 3 tables of 5/5 NL holdem 6 tables of 1/2 NL holdem and a whole mess of regular and mixed games from 75/150 to 2000/4000. All the lists for 10/20 and lower were absolutely obscene, even the 5/10 omaha list was 20+ names. If you're going to come, come early and bring a novel. (On the plus side, the 20/40 holdem game I sat in was absoloutely fantastic) |

Re: what was running today...
4/8 went open seating around 11 or midnight, and the 2-4 list dropped to fewer than 15 at the same time. I got there much later than I had planned. I was hoping to get into an act1, but they didn't run any today as far as I know. I missed my name for an act2 twice while jumping between rooms. Finally got called for all 3 lists I was on about 3 hours after signing in. Ended up +20BB for 7 hours of actual play time, so I can't really complain.
They have about 30 tables in the Sunset Ballroom, so that'll take care of 300 of the tournament field. I asked a TD, and he said that 300 or so are registered so far. They're splitting the field into two days, so we'll see how many they end up with. I'm going back on Saturday, but I'm gonna get there plenty early this time. Also saw Huck Seed getting picked up, Fossilman playing some 75/150 Omaha, and Doyle, BarryG, and Chip playing 2k/4k. |

Re: what was running today...
How early are we talking for Saturday?
I am driving from Boston, planning on arriving at Foxwoods at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Judging from what you guys are currently seeing (if you are there) or from past experiences, is 10:30 a.m. way too late to arrive for prompt seating on WPT weekend? |

Re: what was running today...
I drive from Boston, too, and usually get to the 'Woods by 9:30 AM. Arriving then, I can usually get seated right away at the 1/2 NL game (all games have pretty short lists at this hour). Getting there by 11 will usually get you into a game with an hour or less wait but, given that the WPF are going on, I would make every effort to get there earlier if possible.
