When you play this chech/check you induce a river bluff. If you've seen this kind of move before I think a call is in order.

Villain was raising to $70PF w/ junk, I didn't want him to take me off my hand on the flop w/ air.

I also like checking flop, leading turn in this spot. It seems to get more FE if I've been continuation betting a lot.
