Default 7 Unit bet I just had.

Someone appeared to have left a bet up on betfair without knowing the score.

Jax 7-0 Pitt and I took Jax +3.5 at the equivalent of around -115

I'm assuming I did the right thing here, any thoughts? It was a considerably larger bet than usual.

It's already looking a bit worrying. The question however stands as put. If you had this chance straight after the Jax PAT, would you take it?

I don't blame you for taking the bet. We all look for edges.

Having said that, it wouldn't surprose me if the sportsbook recognizes this mistake and cancels all bets posted after a certain time.

Lets hope they do that for you. Things have turned. Pitt still playing horrible though. One TD aided by Jacksonville mistakes and the other apunt return. Still no offense to speak of with [cough]Maddox[/cough] "leading" the team.

It won't be cancelled. Betfair is always buyer (and seller) beware unless they specifically forget to cancel a bet at kickoff (which wasn't the case here) when they say they will.

I don't mind them not cancelling it, it is someone elses bet and they're entitled to win it.
On the other hand, I'm not morally worried about taking the bet, because it's part of the game on Betfair. Everyone I know (including me) has made incredible errors at times and you have to take the shot when you get it.

I would always take the bet, I'm just wondering from a 50-100 bet bankroll what the max bet should be on this one.

Just to add, the kind of mistakes that I've seen are terrifying.

There was the kid who wanted a speculative 2 gbp on a no-hoper on the golf at 1000-1.
After his typo, he got 1000 gbp at evens (2 = evens)
