I was actually thinking that I could raise, then the other two players would call and it would build the pot if I hit the straight. I'm trying to eliminate those thoughts from my head while I play.

Bet the flop = Good
I would raise the turn with the outs and put BB on a smalll stright draw or pair of Q's at best.
You have 6.5 or 7 outs and about 7.5:1 implied pot odds.
BB may fold to your raise and you win (4 BB), or he calls and then you c/b the river. If you lose it's only one extra bet. So you are risking 1 bet for possible 8.

If you called this and folded UI on the river. NH
If you called this and hit a King and check/called. NH
if you called this and hit your straight with no diamond and bet out. NH
If you called this and hit your straight with a diamond and bet/called. NH

If you folded this or raised this. Not NH!
