Call this river bet?
Just an orbit or two through. No reads on SB. Also is this a preflop fold with only one caller so far?

Re: Call this river bet?
Without a read, I would. You're getting 7-1 on your call. I think you're good that often against an unknown.

Re: Call this river bet?
Your pre-flop play is correct, IMO. The presence of the CO poster (yet to act) significantly increases the chances of a multiway pot.
On the river, call. Your turn play invites a river bluff or a bet from a lousy made hand, like a mid-pocket pair. As a general principle, when the turn is checked around and a not terribly scary river card is bet upfront, I'm calling with any semblance of a hand. |

Re: Call this river bet?
I think you're behind in the hand VERY often. I think the sb was looking for a c/r on the turn. There's a REALLY good chance he has an A. The ONLY reasonable hand you're beating is KQ...
I probably would have bet the turn though. That might just be me and my over-agressiveness. |

Re: Call this river bet?
I call here.
Betting the turn makes no sense at all, hero made a flawless free card play, and it's obvious to villain that this is what hero did. Villain will be bluffing or betting a worse hand like bottom paír here more than 1 in 7. |

Re: Call this river bet?
If you call the river this hand will stink of excellent routineness.

[ QUOTE ]
yes, and bet the turn. [/ QUOTE ] SB would have to fold a good part of the time for a turn bet to be effective (assuming we are behind on the flop), and the ace is a perfect scare card, and if we get check-raised we have plenty of outs to the flush. In this case, I probably wouldn't call a river bet, however, because we can pretty squarely put him on at least an ace. I like a bet here too. |
