yeah, that's perfect. just icing on the cake that you raised and got away from your hand a couple hands before. Given the earlier raise, I think raising is far superior to smooth calling. In fact, I think I would raise almost every time here since most people will put you on a steal anyway. I think calling is even slightly suspicious to most people. At least I'd be kind of suspicious if a solid player just called in that position. well played. congrats on your tourney

1. I think you played the hand perfectly. No reason to slow down as I think you often wont get the action out of someone who wants to reraise with any 3 babies later in the hand. Get as much in here as you can, in this situation I think you only get multiple bets on later streets from a made low.

2. NLHE tourneys can be a good diversion to the occasional frustrations of grinding stud-8 games. When my nights are going baby baby baby brick brick brick a short no-limit game can be a good change and an aggression outlet.

3. Since there is already some shameless bragging in the thread, I won the Stars $10 Stud-8 tournament Sunday night Finally after 4 stud-8 final table trips I took one down.

I just got a eurobet account and saw that they have a 25-50 stud and stud8 game. It would be pretty sweet if they ever got running but as of so far no luck.

Literally never runs - 10 will run if you sit sometimes. 6-12 stud on there (and 4-8) can be an easy clean. It is a total chase-a-thon. Major glitch in software though - no double bets on 4th with paired boards. Oh well, the game is soft and it's a nice hold em break for me here and there.

I would think that the 6-12 game with a 50cent ante wouldn't be very indusive to action. Are these people bad enough that they don't really care or mind?
