I think first you should ask yourself....what would Smasho do? Then, do the opposite. I see Rainaruby has the standard few bucks more than the buy-in.

Is your question seriously whether you should put another $180 into a 2 suited flop where you need runner runner for the low or to hit an inside straight draw that holds up?

It's a fold for me.

Yes, that is the question. Note I also have a flush draw, and am getting 5:2 on this call. Except that there is a strong player left to act behind.

Misclick, eh?

Anyways, like the previous poster, Im folding this. The odds are attractive, but your hand is certainly not. I hope you folded this.

I'd hate to, but I'd fold FWIW.

If it werent for the player behind you,

I'd call and punch myself for getting into that situation.

Since there's a "strong" player behind you...

I'd fold and punch myself for getting into that situation.

This must be the difference in higher buy-in PL & low-mid stakes limit games. This is a pretty solid starting hand at any 6-max limit game & a hand that would not fold until the river if even then.

The starting hand is solid, but not against this much strength. The A3 hurts when you hit a flop where your high hand is decent and your low/draw is not to the nuts. Instead of a 1/4, 3/4 contest where you are likely ahead AND may have the only nut low draw, the situation is a bit worse.

I think fold is probably best, but its not so clear cut.

The problem is that you can put shortstack on AAxx, so then poster likely has a hand like A23K or A2QQ or something. But either way the Ah is out, and so its odds on that someone has a better flush draw. If you were up against just short stack I might be able to find a call.

Here's the rest of the hand. Turns out I was a 53/47 favorite against the short stack's hand, but it wasn't to be:

Hero raises [$820.50].
poster folds.
** Dealing Turn ** [ 7c ]
** Dealing River ** [ 9c ]
Hero shows [ Qh, 3h, Ad, Kd ] a pair of nines.
Vimorre shows [ 2d, Ac, Ts, As ] two pairs, aces and nines.
Hero wins $641 from side pot #1 with a pair of nines.
Vimorre wins $641 from the main pot with two pairs, aces and nines.
There was no qualifying low hand.
