QQ
UTG is unknown to me here, but he has big Elvis hair without the side-burns. MP just took a few bad beats. I don't know much about his play, but he was in the 30/60 game a bit earlier FWIW. Button will be aggressive with top pair, but is mildly retarded.
Canterbury 15/30 (9 handed) UTG raises, MP calls, I 3-bet Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], Button cold-calls 3, blinds scram, UTG 4-bets, MP calls, I cap, all call. 4 to the flop for 21.67 SB: 9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]6 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] UTG checks, MP checks, I bet, all call Turn: 5 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] UTG checks, MP bets, I....... |

Re: QQ
... raise with the the intention of folding a re-raise. If he calls and checks the river go ahead and bet it.
Why should he slowplay the flop w/ a 9 and then bet out the turn? And an overpair better than yours would have reraised pf. |

Re: QQ
In a very large pot I am hard pressed to find anything but a raise here on the turn. You may well have the best hand still. A raise is absolutely necessary from protection purposes with several players remaining to act. Villain's line is not that consistent with a 9, and I'm willing to invest the 2BB to try to take control of a big pot.
I'm also very wary of folding at any pointing here, unless a third (or fourth) player gets heavily involved in the action. |
