5/10 - I\'m confused on this one
a read would be really nice but alas i don't have one

River: (8.20 BB) J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players) Hero bets, CO raises, Hero calls. Final Pot: 12.20 BB Do I 3-bet the turn? Is this guy really limping with something that beats me? What about the riv-daddy? check-call? bet-fold? bet-call? I was all-around confused. |

I probably raise preflop and the river is a bet/fold for me unless you have a maniac read on the guy.

i like the raise preflop... but you don't think a check/call river would be better??? same price but you get a showdown???

Re: 5/10 - I\'m confused on this one
What's he raising the turn with that you beat? His smooth call then raise the turn would have me worried. The fact that he openlimped in the CO leads me to believe he has the right cards to hit that flop. Did you think you had the best hand when you 3 bet the turn or were you trying to fold a better one? Couldn't you just get to showdown if you think there is a decent chance YHIG?

Re: 5/10 - I\'m confused on this one
Looks like he may have smooth-called the flop w/a big hand waiting for the turn to raise. Maybe 88 or 67s, as both of these are hands that a weak player might call w/first in; or something like A5s. Maybe he's being sneaky with a big pair, which is not too uncommon. The more I look at it the more confused I get, too. If he really had something big I don't see why he wouldn't cap the turn. My head hurts.

Bad players do stupid [censored]. I had a guy tonight call me down with a flopped full house.
