Default What do you open-limp with in a typical party 15/30 game?

Unless you're at a good table, typically there are only 2-4 people to a flop and they are aggressive. Is there any hand you open-limp with in this situation? It's nearly guaranteed to be raised behind you if you do.

In that situation I think you're nearly always best open-raising, unless you want to do a fair amount of limp-reraising. I also think that open-raising with something like JTs UTG is fine provided that you do not do it too often.

Party players average around 29% vpip, 32% see the flop. Althought "2-4" is accurate, it does not reflect that 3 and 4 are much more common than 2.

It is quite often raised, but this doesn't mean there aren't reasons for limping. Raising in early position has the potential to drive out opponents you can beat and only keep around opponents who beat you. So if you have a hand like KQ you likely won't get called by any hands that you aren't a significant underdog to (except from players in the blinds). If you just call with KQ you will encourage worse hands to play and you avoid the problem of being isolated by dominating hands with poor odds (being dominated multiway is still bad but a little less bad). Basically if you raise with KQ you will very rarely find your opponent holding KJ but if you just call you will.

Early position is the only place I open-limp, with: 77-99, KQo, QJs, (TJs sometimes).
