Re: Worst TV plays ever
Was he in steal position? I assume he wasn't, by the way you guys are going on.

Re: Worst TV plays ever
How about Lee Watkinson's call of a turn check raise with ten high against Eli Elezra's trip kings? Granted the hand didn't go to showdown, but that was a brutal play - the stacks were not the right depth to justify calling to try to steal on the river.

Re: Worst TV plays ever
That was horrible move by Hoyt. Didn't he catch trips on that one to beat Deogstino? Definitely gets my vote along with any hand Taun Le plays.

Re: Worst TV plays ever
Ya that was crazy. Stino had the shittiest luck at that final table. Chip leader to one chip in a short span of time...and I thought he played really well, and got a lot of great cards. I didn't understand Hoyt's thought process here and kind of lost some respect for his play.

Re: Worst TV plays ever
Whenever I see Hoyt on TV he plays like a complete moronic donkey and gets lucky all the time. Phil Hellmuth told him that he can't wait to get another crack at him after being knocked out of a WPT final table. I'm sure JDags feels the same way. What an idiot!

Re: Worst TV plays ever
Any answer other than "Tommy Reed check-folds set of tens" is wrong. This was hands-down the worst televised play in poker history and its hard to imagine a worse play ever being intentionally made.

Re: Worst TV plays ever
I just saw the WPT "By the Book" on re-runs last week and man....Mike Sexton sucked on every single hand. He never raised just called and checked and let Helmuth draw out on him on multiple hands. It was sickening how timid Sexton was playing. After that Helmuth became the ultimat calling station calling with any one face card and a rag or an ace and a rag on a table of 5 players. So he went out shortly after that.
The Watkinson vs. Brunson match was like childsplay for Brunson. Lee was playing way too many hands. |

Re: Worst TV plays ever
Corkin's 87 all-in wasn't good, but it wasn't even the worst play of the hand.
