Default Harrah\'s in AC Information

In all my visits to AC i've gone to every casino there except the Harrahs. And honestly i've never even heard anything about it. So anyone know any details? Like what kind of games do they have? What's the wait like on a weekend? How much does it cost to park there... like is it something ridculous like $10 at the trop? And any other details i might find important for making a trip out there. Thanks.

Parking is free if you have your Harrah's card (free). You pay as you leave like at the Borgata, so when you go in get your card and show it on your way out.. You won't have to pay a dime.

Games were easy to get on the weekends.. I was there for a Saturday afternoon/evening and all the tables were going. There's $40+10 SNG's always rolling out. Steep vig, but the games are incredibly soft.

It's a basic 2/4, 3/6, $1/2 NL game. I think they have a couple Stud games going as well. I think there was a 2/5 NL game also going when I was there.

The dealers, when I was there, were above average. They were fairly new, but they were all good.. I'm sure there even better now.

The floor guys are AWESOME!.. They are funny as hell and always making little quips and remarks that make the room a GREAT atmosphere.

I loved the chips. Especially when compared to the poor feel of the Showboat's chips (which I just left) and the Taj's scum. They have a great feel to them, and they are designed nice. The chips are a coin with clay around it and the feel is just great.

For low-limit hold em, I think it's the best place in AC in terms of poker room, dealers, floor, and chips.

They were still fairly new when I went.. There was only one game going when I woke up at 7am to head down Sunday morning, a 3/6 limit game with about 6 seats filled.

When the buzz gets going and the place catches on, I think the place will be happening.

MY ONLY GRIPE:.. There's no cashier's cage near the poker tables. You can buy from the dealers, but when you chip out at your table, you gotta walk across the casino floor/slot machines to cash out.

A minor nuisance, but not a big one.. I can live with it.. I love the room.

They run the SNG's on Demand..

I showed up there Saturday Afternoon around 4pm and played til 10pm.. They probably started up 4 or 5 SNG's in that time period. Like every hour they'd ask if there's any demand for another one, and it'd start up fairly quickly.

I didn't personally play in it, so I don't know exactly what the structure was. I know it had to be incredible soft because the grey old ladies and other donks at my 3-6 game who were giving away there money, left the game to enter the tournaments. I *THINK* the blinds went up every 15 minutes.

The SNG's had a Top 3 payout structure.. $200, $120, $80.

The one floor guy said they'll run $80+20's if there's enough demand for them, but none of them never opened up that day I was there.

really soft games, the dealers are all nice people, but i must say that the floor, although nice people, dont have a great understanding of how to run a room. The 1/2 no limit is wildly aggressive and the 3/6 and 2/4 (occasionally 5/10) are all extreeeeeeeemely loose games, 6 or 7 to the flop. They run good tourneys on friday, 500 plus 50 and saturday i think they run wsop satelites for 150 plus 15. Clean nice room, but only low limits

walked in last night around 9 pm and was seated immediately
at a 2/4 table. I beleive the only wait was for 1/2 no limit. Very loose play. Everyone wants to see the flop and turn. The only problem I have is the loudness of the band from the bar around the corner. Also your right next to the showroom, which currently features a Elvis review. Lot of noise when that emptys out and the people hang around for upwards to 90 minutes to talk to the Elvis impersonaters.
Last night featured the "50's" and pre bloated Vegas Elvi.(that is the plural for Elvis, isnt it?). They averaged about one 40+10 sit n go per hour-hour 1/2. I like it at Harrahs.

Default some thoughts on AC and a question about the west coast

Some comments on AC.. Taj was my first cardroom and I was loyal to it for a couple months. Then I noticed that the drink ladies look like Blanch(golden girls reference) and really strung out, the chips are never washed, and so many sketchy people just lurking with crazed looks on their faces wearing starter coats from the early 90's in the summer. The weekends are decent though but I still think that trump would fire himself for the state of the taj poker room. The Borgata is class all the way, they have nice chairs( that is big for me) , not many lurkers as it's off the strip, THE hottest and most asian top heavy cocktail girls in AC( thats big for me as I love soft pubic hair). The waits are long though. Also buy in for the tourny early as they fill up quick ... The Trop is okay and I havn't been to harrahs ceasers or showbboat or wild west yet as they as far as I know are failry new. I am not a avid 2+2 poster and usually think you guys are a little harsh on people so take it easy random guy who is racking his brain to make fun of my post.. thanks bud. . but anyway I am a decent player who has turned a good profit over the last 3 years. I am moving somewhere in Oct as my lease is up and I am done with DC and can move anywhere in the US and was wondering poker wise what are the best places to live. I play a lot of 2-5 nl sometimes 10-20. I have heard good and bad things about the west coast and was thinking you people could help me in a big way and tell me some things about the areas you know.. thanks a lot and I know the soft pubic hair was a little out of line..
