Default Any Other Way to Play This?

3/6 Pokerstars

me: $600
Villian: has me covered

9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] in the cutoff

folded to me and I make it $21

BB Calls

Flop is:

A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

he checks and I bet $40. I am hoping to catch him with an A. He calls, which of course I like.

turn is a 2 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

He checks. I lead pot again with $120. He reraises me $360.

I can only really put him on A,J, A,x, or some kind of draw. A,A and J,J seem remote given that this is likely a blind steal type battle.

I push in. He flips over J,J.

I cant think of any other way to play this hand. Any thoughts. Also, do you like his J,J flop call? I reraise here every time in the BB with J,J.

I think you played this hand perfectly. Just unfortunate to run into JJ.

If you've been blind stealing a lot, then BB should definitely reraise and auto fire on the flop. If you haven't been blind stealing, then I think his call is okay.

muck out of turn on the flop. it's obvious he has a set of jacks and you're going to lose your stack you fish.

Wait, how do you know he has a set of Jacks? I think its obvious he has a set of Jacks or Aces, but you narrowing it down to just jacks really impresses me. How do you muck out of turn, I really need someone to show me?

I actually put him on Jacks as well - Just kind of instinct when reading the post. AA reraises out of position here I think and Jacks is just borderline enough not to reraise preflop. I make plenty of mistakes, but I put him on Jacks pretty easily.
