Default Bad Call Pre-Flop

I just beat everyone to that comment. I got lucky as all hell and know it.

Pre-flop judgement was based solely on implied odds.

Okay, I am clueless but is this even a playable hand preflop?

I am struggling with Omaha but it looks like you were about to lose a significant amount of your chips and only a miracle saved you.

Don't take this as a negative remark about your play, I'm just looking for information.

It's fine, I don't mind the question. To analyze my actual holdings of 10-10-Q-2, it's ok to take a flop with high ranking suited connecting cards in Omaha Hi-Low, usually you want to get in cheap. The 2 basically makes my hand garbage, with an Ace instead it becomes a somewhat reasonable hand, even a King would do wonders for it.

As far as losing a signficant amount of chips goes (???). I had $1.35 in this pot total. With J-J-A-A on the board, I would have folded for a wooden nickel. Even if a King of the wrong suit hits, my straight would barely beat a bluff.

If you're new to Omaha 8, stick to suited Aces with wheel cards. You won't find 10-10-Q-2 on any premium hand charts!

No, no it isn't.
Limping in the sb at this level with this hand is fine. Hell, I'll play anything for 3 nickles! But he was raised and had 2 people to act behind him. IMO, this is a garbage 3 card hand.
OP may believe that his call creates good pot odds for the other 2 to come along, hence that 'implied odds' comment, but it's still a mediocre, 3 card, high only hand in a 4 card split game.

He's right, he got lucky and knows it. Thanks for the brag post.

PLEASE, gergery, winter, ribbo, ANYONE, show me how this was a good preflop call. I really want to know if I'm missing the boat....

It's not a brag post. It's an insane bad beat/bad call post. This an absolute -EV play, the posting has no strategic value at all, and my implied odds joke was inferring implied royal flush odds. Hand is purely posted for entertainment value, as I sit here chuckling.

When not tooling around, I do my best to scoop pots, avoid being quartered, and play aggressively. Sure, it's ridiculously easy to win at the $25 tables in general, but anyone else here who plays the same tables has seen my improvements.

What on earth is with that preflop call? You're playing for at best a really weak high.
