Default Party 5/10 NL Press here to tilt.. <relatively low content>

I saw in another thread with Fimbulwinter yesterday a mention of possible reasons to show a bluff, I'm indulging in a semi humorous example from yesterday. These two hands happened consecutively yesterday.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $10 BB (7 handed) converter

Hero ($1219)
UTG ($942.85)
MP1 ($508.67)
MP2 ($1366)
CO ($989.50)
Button ($922)
SB ($2708.20)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
<font color="#666666">3 folds</font>, CO calls $10, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, SB completes, Hero checks.

Flop: ($30) 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font>
SB checks, <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $19</font>, CO calls $19, SB folds.

Based on the action so far, I think the most likely holding for the CO here is a mid pair like 66-77, I doubt he'd just call with overs and he would have raised with 2 big cards preflop here.

Turn: ($68) 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $45</font>, CO calls $45.

River: ($158) T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $110</font>, CO folds.

This is just a steal bet obviously using the possible straight and paired 4's on the board to bully him off the mid pair I'm still assuming that he has. I have a lot of history with this opponent and I know he's both tilt prone and has been burned repeatedly calling value bets from me on the river. So after he folds, I show the hand to see if he'll tilt, ideally I'd like to have position on him but past history has shown he'll be coming after me for the next hour no matter what because he hates being shown up.

Final Pot: $268

Next Hand:
CO from previous hand is now MP2 and ranting up a storm at me in the chat window on another table we're both on.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $10 BB (7 handed) converter

Hero ($1300)
BB ($942.85)
UTG ($508.67)
MP1 ($1366)
MP2 ($915.50)
CO ($922)
Button ($2698.20)

Preflop: Hero is SB with 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
<font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">MP2 raises to $40</font>, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Button raises to $125</font>, <font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">MP2 raises to $915.5 (All-In)</font>, Button calls $790.50.

Flop: ($1846) 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players, 1 all-in)</font>

Turn: ($1846) T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players, 1 all-in)</font>

River: ($1846) T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players, 1 all-in)</font>

Final Pot: $1846

Results in white below: <font color="#FFFFFF">
MP2 has Qd Kd (one pair, tens).
Button has As Ad (two pair, aces and tens).
Outcome: Button wins $1846. </font>

Unfortunately I wasn't the one who woke up with AA the next hand but this is generally the pattern I'm trying to induce. Even more unfortunately he left both tables after this hand. I'll only do this with someone who I know to be a regular winning player who I know to have poor control, I'm a firm believer in being civil to casual players. Does anyone else do this just for purposes of tilting a known steamer? Any other techniques used like slowrolling, trash talking, betting .01 less than what they have in their stack etc?

nice post. i haven't yet tried the .99 stack trick, but i certainly will soon. i've found that "value-betting" flops for like 1/5 pot, begging potential tilters to call gets them to fold thinking they are not falling for your mind games.
