Default Was this a crazy raise?

I was playing $1-$2 at Pacific in an "8 handed" game. Two players posted, one also posted a dead small blind. So there was a total of $4 of blind money in the pot. I had QJo UTG and raised!

The pot is going to be multiway and you are out of position. Unless the board is scary, I wouldn't be too surprised to see a multiway showdown.

I'm going with the dysondyson method of responding to posts w/ this title. Without reading your post, I'm going to say that yes, it's a crazy raise.

Edit: Upon reading your post, yeah, it's still fairly crazy. I could see limping, though.

I normally fold this hand. I considered limping, but didn't see the point of playing QJo against all these posted blinds in what would then be a certain multiway pot.

However, with all that blind money in there, I thought an UTG raise might get a couple of the blinds to fold. Heck, it might even get them all to fold. You never know. If I could get the pot down to HU or 3 way with all that blind money in there, I though it might have been a decent value situation even if I was behind.

The raise might have ben crazy, but playing at Pacific is great. The $1-$2 tables over there are easier than the .50-$1.00 tables at PP. In fact, the $2-$4 tables are easier too. I always play 1 table there and open up other tables at PP, UB etc...

It's fishy, but the rake is pretty steep.
