Out #108

Had AT on AK6 board. Got all in with someone who had A2.
He got his 2 on the turn.

Going back over it, I suppose I could have pushed with the 88 preflop, but the big stack was BB, so I went with a standard raise. He called. When the flop hit and he checkraised all-in, I figured I was way ahead, no way he would play that way if he wanted a call. Turns out I was right and was an 81.4% favorite. Unfortunately, he caught the A on the river, otherwise I become chip leader at that point.

As the classy pros say on TV, I got all my chips in as the favorite, in this case the BIG favorite, but it just didn't work out. Would have liked to have made the top 50 for the $500, but I gotta say I'm happy with how I played.

Wow, this is incerdible.
Pocket_99 was the guy who tool me out, too.
With A2 against my AT on a AK6 board we got it all-in.

What a lucky bitch. He finished 43. for 500$.

Apparently he wasn't that lucky. $500K+ after beating me and he finished 43rd? Guess his luck ran out, as he sure didn't have skill.

At least it reassures me I've got some skill at this game. And I've got sympathy for Hellmuth now when he says "If it weren't for luck, I'd win them all." I hear you Phil.

Not that I ever sucked out...
