Re: J10s 30/60 on PokerStars
Actually I've been on 2+2 for probaly more years than yourself. I've been on here since 2000, but I don't post often. If you are telling me that you think the guy with AA played this hand right, then I might have to quit poker because I can think of about 50 ways better to have played this!

Re: J10s 30/60 on PokerStars
no read more carefully. i said i think the guy played his hand in a way that is UNBELIEVABLE, as in i cannot believe that a player who is playing 30-60 on any site anywhere is dumb enough to raise the flop there w/ quad aces with players to act behind him.
you asked about the turn raise and it's no, dont checkraise the turn there. once that guy raises the flop he's looking pretty showdown committed. that's not KQ or KJ raising there and it's not a pocket pair that's gonna fold. no one folds 77 there once they raise that flop. he's showdown bound. |

Re: J10s 30/60 on PokerStars
my bad, I thought you were ripping on me for ripping on the way he played his hand! Just a few other notes here
1. UTG raise with J10...WOW 2. AA just smooth calls preflop 3. Betting Quad Aces on the flop 4. Calling with J10 on the flop 5. Wanting to checkraise the turn....gotta be the best part Shecks |

Re: J10s 30/60 on PokerStars
"1. UTG raise with J10...WOW"
big deal. it's a fine play every now and then. "2. AA just smooth calls preflop' not weird. mike caro advised it in his latest article. he's wrong of course, but self taughts like the play. "3. Betting Quad Aces on the flop" betting would not have been strange really, but *raising* when he's next to act and you raised is very very weird and wrong. "4. Calling with J10 on the flop' well you are sooooted and maybe setting up a turn play. "5. Wanting to checkraise the turn....gotta be the best part" semibluffs are normal and it's normal for thinking players to want to do them more than is correct. |
