Default Odds of NY Giants making the playoffs?

Right now, what do you think would be the right/fair odds payout to someone who bets that the Giants miss the playoffs and is correct?

I'm a giants fan and i have friend who is putting me to the test. What do you think are the fair market odds?

Please, if possible, walk me through the math at how you arrived at your number.

Thanks very much.

They are 1.2-1 to win the NFC East at bet365 and 1.9-1 at sportingbetusa. I'm not sure how to factor in the wildcards. My guess is even odds would be decent. Note the word "guess".

You know, I never really paid attention until you posted that, but NYG +190 (sbu) and Dallas -110 (365) is pretty damn interesting if you were confident that Washington had no shot.

You are laying 6.5 to 1. I'd have to look at the tiebreaks and schedules to be sure, but I'd guess with WAS 2 games behind they are less than 13% to win the division.

I would bet the limit laying 6.5 to 1 against WAS winning the East. Current odds are closer to 13 to 1 against.

Thanks for the comments. This is by far my weakest point i.r.t sports betting. Does this look OK?

Future Wager 11/21/05 23:28 ET
44.00/83.60 Result: Pending
Odds to win NFC East Championship
New York Giants 12/30/05 (12:00 ET)
19-10

01/01/2006 NFC East
(To Win Division) DAL Cowboys
-110 None To Run
Risk: 60.50 To Win: 55.00

NYG=+$23.10
Dallas=+$11

I didn't want to tie up anymore of my bankroll.
