Default Party $33 - bubble hand

I think this is an easy call under the "you have to finish last and shorty has to finish first to miss the money" rule. Am I right?

Blinds 200/400. 4 handed.

UTG (590 chips to start hand) pushes, button (4690 to start hand) calls, SB folds, I call from the BB with A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (I had 1040 to start the hand).

I just called hoping button would check it down. I called preflop with the intent of calling any bet button would make after the flop. That said, who just pushes preflop?

Default Re: Party $33 - bubble hand

I always push in spots like this if I know I'm just going to call any flop. When I call a flop bet, it doesn't give me any control over the hand, but if I push PF over the blinds, it just might induce a fold. At this point, my stack is so small that I'm pushing with almost any 2, and definitely A9s.

Cross my fingers and hope shorty calls and big stack folds ^_^
