Default I played poker way back when... (longish)

I feel old, but I sarteted playing in my early 20's in 1998, and I can't help but laugh at the state of poker sometimes.

It's just sooo main stream now. My mom got me some poker boxers cause SHE KNEW I liked to play Hold'em!! I earned my living at it in Vegas for almost 2 yrs, and if I told someone what I did I was pretty much looked at like a degenerate. I went back to Bellagio and every kid there with an Adidas sweat suit and sunglasses was a "pro", and it's so cool.

Granted I've been gone for a long time. Now 2+2 has a magazine,677 different forums, even t-shirts, when I used to mention it and it would be " 2 plus what?".

Now that I live in Wi., am married, and my wife is expecting our first child poker is still kind of a back seat thing. I have been getting that bug, and playing some here in Milwaukee. And even if it is a little annoying that most of the folks in the card room mis-use the lingo, they do think that weak tight is optimal play ,

It's still a pretty fun game,
Jeff

It makes sense literally, too, since the game has changed a lot, from what I hear.

longish

\Long"ish\, a. Completely pointless; lacking point.

Why flame the dude even if you think the post is pointless? Most posts on the board are pointless and a lot of time would be wasted by point this out. Read it, think to yourself "What was the point" and move on.

Why lecture me even if you think my post was a pointless flame? Most flames on the board are pointless and a lot of time would be wasted by point this out. Read it, think to yourself "I should seriously consider killing myself" and move on.
