Clearly football, I think the question should be only for team sports.
Anyway I will semi-hijack the thread.
What would happen to a team if the owner told them " ok, boys ( or girls) you are on your own for this week".
What would happen to a NFL team??
NBA?
baseball??
Soccer??

Im guessing the NFL team would be a total chaos, the nba team would not see too much damage on match organization but they would probably skip training so I see more of a long run damage.
On baseball nothing would happen( im talking about regular season) and on a soccer team theyre would be a lot of trouble.( because theyre is a lot of rotation in soccer lineups)
