$1-$2 PLO on Empire. Table is full. The short stack on my left is kinda fishy but otherwise no real donks at the table, other than me.

After two limpers I make it $11 to go w/ 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] I have $410 and I have the table covered.

The player on my left cold calls, and both blinds and both limpers come along. Pot $63.

Flop comes 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]-4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]-3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

Checks to me. I bet $35. The player on my left calls, leaving himself $59. Folds to one of other limpers who calls, leaving himself $169. Pot is $168.

Anyone play the flop differently? Bet the full pot maybe?

The turn is 8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. What do you do here?

A pot bet is better here. I think it ensures that anyone calling for a flush is making a mistake, whereas a half pot bet gives limpers 2 and 3 great drawing odds, and anyone holding a set will reraise and go all-in allowing you to escape without a huge loss (although you'd probably just call off that short stack's last $30 for the ~$230 pot).

I bet pot on the turn. Throughout this, you have the added advantage here of opponents possibly putting you on only aces.

What was your reasoning for underbetting on the flop? Sometimes I would sometimes I wouldn't, but it depends really heavily on what I think might happen based on my opposition.

I underbet the pot because of a couple factors... mainly because I expected to be check-raised. A couple people in EP hesitated before checking. Not that I read into this greatly, but sometimes this can be indicative of strength.

The other reason is I am chickenshit.

On the flop I figured I'd be called only by flush/straight draws, and checkraised by sets. I bet less than the max basically to limit my losses in the event of a bad turn card, which would surely hit someone.

On the turn, I did bet the pot, essentially setting them in. I had them both on some sort of draw. I figured the short stack on my left would call for sure, but I wanted to make it unprofitable for the bigger stack to call.

The exact opposite happened. The small stack folded and the big stack called, leaving himself about $1.20.

An offsuit 10 fell on the river. He pushed his last $1.20 in, and I quickly folded, because I knew he had the straight and I wasn't giving him another damn dollar out of my stack. 500-1 odds isn't nearly enough when I know I am beat.

He showed his hand anyway, he had A-A-3-4. When I told him what I had, he let me have the pot. It was a truly honorable gesture.
