That time will come
There was a thread about how it is tough in our day and age telling one's parents that one is a poker professional. Some respondents said they lie about it, others that they tell 'em the truth -- but almost all agree that it's tough on their parents, who disapprove.
Suppose it's after 20 or 30 years, and your son confides that profession X is his primary source of income. Profession X is not breaking any laws, at that time in the future, but you object to it on moral grounds, you cannot understand how such a profession X can make people steady money and you strongly wish your son had chosen something else. What do you think profession X will be in 20 or 30 years time for you, as a parent ? |

What would it be for you Cyrus, CEO of a multinational corporation?
lol just kidding, I'm pretty left wing as well and I'd be pretty pissed off if one of my kids did this unless they were actively trying to improve something about the way corporations behave, which they probably wouldn't be if they were successful. |
