Default Knowing when it is \"your turn\" to act

I am writing a small code which does calculations based on hands, pot sizes, etc, but I want it to only do these calculations when it is YOUR TURN to act. Is there any way (either in Java or AutoIt v3) to determine when it comes around to your turn? All help is appreciated.

Using Java you can make some API calls to see if any windows of size 38x136px are visible. If their text neither starts with "Join", nor with "Unjoin", then the table requires action.
