Default Too aggressive with my underpair or SOP?

Party Poker 2/4 Hold'em (10 handed)

Same loose, fishy game as in my "AK unimproved post," and the Button is the same player to whom I folded that pot on the river.

Preflop: chesspain is MP3 with 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
2 folds, UTG+2 calls, 2 folds, chesspain calls, 1 fold, Button raises, 1 fold, BB calls, UTG+2 calls, chesspain calls.

Flop: (8.50 SB) 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (4 players)
BB checks, UTG+2 checks, chesspain bets, Button raises, BB folds, UTG+2 folds, chesspain calls.

Turn: (6.25 BB) 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
chesspain checks, Button bets, chesspain raises, Button calls.

River: (10.25 BB) 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
chesspain bets, Button folds.

Final Pot: 11.25 BB
Main Pot: 10.25 BB, won by chesspain.
Pot 2: 1 BB, returned to chesspain.

1. How was my play on this hand?
2. Assuming my read was correct in that he had unimproved overcards, should I have bet the river or checked in order to play bluff catcher?
