Default Texas at Kansas

Is it just me or does Texas -22 seem ridiculous. Kansas has a good run defense but thats about it and they are on their 4th string QB.

Not even Jayhawk fans have faith. I just read one of their message boards and most of them agreed that this was "stealing money."

I live in Austin, went to UT and have grown to learn Mack Brown's style of offense. It is boring and basic, and UT simply runs out the clock in the 2nd half if they are winning. The play here is the under. Texas has a great defense, and is very committed to establishing the running game. Although, I think Texas has the potential to put up a lot of points, their defense is very capable of a shutout. Especially against a weak offense like Kansas. The one worry is if the Texas defense scores or forces too many turnovers. Just my thoughts...

I wish I had seen this earlier, and hindsight is 20/20, but Texas isn't (wasn't) too good a play here. Like Hombre, I live in Austin and have watched a lot of Texas football, and also have seen the ball control offense they run this year. Even the years they air it out, it's in a conservative way. Vince Young is an exciting QB, but he's not really a great thrower, not yet anyway, so we're seeing a lot of pounding the ball with Benson and the option.
