Default $500,000 Guaranteed Tournament in Minnesota

Down at the new card room at Treasure Island (Red Wing) I heard that they were hosting a $500,000 guaranteed tourney in November that would have an $1100 buy-in. I think they finally figured it out though, now their website says $500k based on 500 entries.

Can they change the guarantee like that? That tourney would have had a ridiculous overlay. Does anyone else have the up to date info?

That's pretty dumb. I mean, why stop at $500,000? Guarantee a $10,000,000,000 payout if 10,000,000 people show up.

Read any tourney info before the event takes place and if they have a prize pool listed it will then say based on a certain amount of entrants. If its a guaranteed prize pool they say it is based on the number that match up with the guarantee.

If only 400 people enter the prize pool will still be 500k, however if 600 enter, the prize pool will grow. But, they can't know if this will happen, so the use 500 entrants as the default.
