Do I always call a raise from BB when i complete small blind? I understand that the odds are the same but for example everyone limps i have q8s i complete bb raises i usually fold. Should i be calling?

Hell yes you call. Everyone limped, BB raised, you're closing the action, you have super juicy odds.

An important exception is heads-up. Heads-up you should rarely limp from the SB, you should raise and be calling few raises where you limped. A lot of this is also read dependent, which is especially important heads-up and shorthanded.

Generally, no. In a full game situtation you generally want to fold (especially if someone raised), and even if your hand is best you are looking at some nasty reverse implied odds. Remember, your position blows ass, which further devalues your hand.

As the game gets shorter, you are looking to reraise, not call. Just calling gives the BB tremendous odds to call a single raise, and does nothing for your initative. If you think someone's raising standards are sufficently light (ie: open-raising the button in a 6-max game), then you 3-bet. If you tend to think the raise is legit, fold.

Uh. Yeah. I guess. What the hell...call.

(Not my initial reaction, but you were looking for less enthusiasm.)

You're asking all the wrong questions.
